My name is Moussa Daibes (born 1976). I'm from Danmark, I currently live in Copenhagen, but I travel back and forth between Copenhagen, Los Angeles, Dubai and Lebanon as I would like to expand my career and work in a bigger field.
I'm an educated professionel actor all the way through my bones, flesh and blood - educated from Copenhagen Film- and Theatre School (KFTS) in Stanislavskij Method Acting.
I see my self as an natural born actor from birth and if I died and got reborn again, I'm sure I would follow the exact same path in life. For me acting isn't just "play-have-fun", it's about reaching out to the human kind and tell them a story using my body language, soul, presence and my acting techniques. For every part I play, I learn and develop my self as a story teller which is important in order to deliver the final message to the audience.
My skills as an actor are wide and I have been working with short films, tv-series, commercials, theatre etc. I have a lot of experience in solving many different roles artistically using a broad range of different techniques I've learned during my 16 years as an actor, like singing, body language and voice training.
I have a lot of life experience, I can use on stage or behind the camera in any given situation you put me in. I see my self as a versatile actor and for every part I play, my goal is to blend seamlessly together with the part without the audience recognizing me. It's important for me, that I'm not a stock character and I'm trying to develop my career in a direction, where I play many different parts, which is working out fine.
I master different kinds of martial arts, I'm in physically and mentally strong shape and I'm always ready for any challenge in that area, I even perform and do my own stunts if required. I possess the ability to take on roles that are mentally challenging (like the JOKER, HANNIBAL, handicapped/weak, teacher/professor, from businessman to a bum on the street etc.).
I don’t see any limits for me in the future, I work everywhere on this sweet planet (Denmark, USA, Jordan, India, Egypt, Dubai etc.) and I'm ready for any even more adventures that comes my way.
I recently played “Abdul Bashir” in “Below The Surface” on Channel 5 (Discovery). I also starred in my first American short film “The Last Hope” by American director Desireé Denise Ramos.
I also played the lead character “Amin” in the 30-minute short comedy THE VISITOR that premiered at Orlando Film festival in 2018 and also received a nomination for “Best Foreign Language Short Film”. It also got selected as part of the Official Selection at the BAFTA-qualifying short film festival Aesthetica Short Film Festival in Britain 2019. It also won “Best Comedy” at Annual Copenhagen Film Festival in Denmark/Aarhus in 2019.
The short gangster piece NO EXIT 2 - RISE AGAINST where I played “The Uncle” have also won several awards since its premiere back in 2013, among them for “Best Foreign Short” at Hollywood International Moving Picture Festival” and "for “Best Director” at Los Angeles International Film Festival Awards. It was also a part of the Official Selection at Orlando Film Festival in 2018.
THE VISITOR will continue its festival run for the rest of 2019 and by the end of the year hopefully reach participation in EKKO Shortlist 2019 in Copenhagen/Denmark.
